By using The Dinger Almanac, you agree to these terms. We've tried to make them short and honest. Read them.
1. What this site is
The Dinger Almanac publishes statistical analysis of Major League Baseball games — specifically, daily probability forecasts for home runs by individual batters. The forecasts are the output of a mathematical model applied to publicly available baseball data.
2. What this site is NOT
This site does not provide betting advice or gambling services. The probabilities we publish are statistical estimates, not guarantees. Every prediction has a large margin for error. Home runs are rare events; even our top-ranked picks will fail to hit a home run the majority of the time.
If you use these forecasts for sports betting, daily fantasy sports (DFS), or any financial decision, you do so entirely at your own risk. We cannot and will not reimburse losses.
We are not a licensed sportsbook, a broker, a financial advisor, or a registered investment adviser.
3. Accuracy, no warranty
Data is pulled from public sources (MLB Stats API, Baseball Savant) and can contain errors, delays, or gaps. Our model can contain bugs. Lineups, weather, and matchups change unexpectedly. We provide all content “as-is” without any warranty — express or implied — including fitness for a particular purpose.
Our published calibration metrics are a historical record, not a prediction of future performance.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Scrape the site at rates that disrupt service or degrade performance for other users.
- Republish our forecasts wholesale in a commercial product without written permission. Linking to the site, quoting one or two picks with attribution, or sharing screenshots is fine.
- Use the site to promote illegal gambling where such activity is prohibited by your local jurisdiction.
- Misrepresent yourself, impersonate others, or attempt to access non-public parts of the system.
5. Intellectual property
The site's design, code, copy, model, and published content are copyright The Dinger Almanac. The underlying baseball data and statistics are public domain or the property of MLB / Baseball Savant; we don't claim ownership of those.
We welcome educational and personal use, including sharing screenshots, quoting the methodology page, and linking to pages. For commercial reuse, email hello@thedingeralmanac.com.
6. Subscriptions and payments (future)
When we launch a paid subscription tier, it will be clearly marked and separately priced. All billing is handled by Stripe. You can cancel any subscription at any time through the account page; cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period with no prorated refund. Specific subscription terms will appear on the checkout page at purchase time.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, The Dinger Almanac is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or exemplary damages resulting from your use of the site — including but not limited to gambling losses, DFS losses, investment decisions made based on published content, or data errors.
If a court finds we are liable anyway, our total liability to you will not exceed ten US dollars (US$10) or the amount you have paid us in the past twelve months, whichever is greater.
8. Changes
We may update these terms. The current version is always posted here with an effective date. Material changes will be announced on the homepage. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in California.
